Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Welcome to MockStage ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our browser-based mockup builder, located at mock-stage.vercel.app (the "Service").
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any terms in this policy, please discontinue use of MockStage.
2. Client-Side Processing (Your Files Are Private)
We respect the privacy of your work. MockStage is built using modern browser APIs. This means:
- All image uploads, resizing, crop tools, app icon generation, and 3D device renders are processed entirely locally inside your web browser.
- Your source screenshots, logos, and designs are never uploaded to our servers or stored by us unless you explicitly choose to save your project to our cloud workspace.
- All file zip compression and MP4 video generation runs client-side inside your browser sandbox.
3. Information We Collect
When you access or use the Service, we may collect certain categories of data to provide, maintain, and optimize your experience:
A. Usage Data & Analytics
We use Google Analytics (via Firebase) to track usage metrics and patterns (e.g. template clicks, page navigation, device selections, and export actions). This data helps us fix bugs and understand which device templates are most useful. This tracking only occurs if you grant explicit consent via our cookie banner.
B. User Feedback
If you submit a feedback form, bug report, or feature request, we collect your email address, selected category, and message text. This data is securely stored inside our Google Cloud Firebase Firestore database so we can respond to your request.
4. Data Protection Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following data protection rights:
- Right to access: You can request copies of your personal feedback submissions.
- Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten): You can request that we delete any feedback records or data associated with your email address.
- Right to withdraw consent: You can reset your analytics tracking preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies or clicking "Reject" in the cookie consent banner.
To exercise any of these rights, please submit a request via our feedback portal or email us directly.
5. Security practices
We implement industry-standard technical security measures to protect your data. Our Firebase databases are protected by strict, schema-validated Firestore Security Rules that completely prevent unauthorized third parties from viewing, modification, or deleting database records.
